A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DIAMOND BAR RECOGNIZING THE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY BRANCH OF THE NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE
WHEREAS, the year, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine
marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the San Gabriel Valley
Branch of National Association for the Advancement of Colored
People (NAACP); and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley Branch of the NAACP has
served its community with distinction and pride; and
WHEREAS, the achievement of success is well noted
through the dedicated efforts and commitment of the San Gabriel
Valley Branch; and
t WHEREAS, great appreciation and accolades are given to
a
the members, supporters and organization of the San Gabriel
Valley Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement
of Colored People as attested by its noteworthy twenty-five
year history; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that by the adoption of
this Resolution, the City Council of the City of Diamond Bar
recognizes the vast contribution that the San Gabriel Valley
Chapter of the NAACP has made to the community at large
throughout the past twenty-five years. And in addition the
City Council expresses its gratitude for the privilege of
preparing this Resolution and wishes continued success to the
San Gabriel Chapter in its future endeavors.
