RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND
BAR APPOINTING LINDA BURGESS, CMC, TO THE POSITION
OF CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1989 the City of Diamond Bar
was incorporated, and
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the City Council
of the City of Diamond Bar to appoint a City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the City has properly advertised and
recruited for the position of City Clerk, and held the
appropriate interviews with qualified candidates, and
WHEREAS, during the course of said recruitment and
interviews, a fully qualified candidate was chosen as most
suitable for the position,
WHEREAS, said candidate has indicated her ability and
willingness to serve the City of Diamond Bar in the capacity of
City Clerk.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDe
1. That LINDA BURGESS, Certified Municipal Clerk,
be appointed City Clerk for the City of Diamond
Bar effective July 17, 1989,
2. That her salary be set at $40,000 per annum, and
3. That the position be classified as an "Exempt"
position, with benefits equal to those provided
to all Management employees in the City of
Diamond Bar.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of July, 1989.
I, ROBERT L. VAN NORT, Acting City Clerk of the City
of Diamond Bar, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City
Council at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 11th day of
July, 1989, by the following vote to -wit:
AYES: Councilmembers - Forbing, Miller, Werner,
Mayor Pro Tem Horcher and
NOES$ Councilmembers - None Mayor Papen
ABSENTS Councilmembers - None
