A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DIAMOND BAR IN APPRECIATION TO GEORGE CASWELL
WHEREAS, the City of Diamond Bar was incorporated
April 18, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the City Council being newly -elected
novices needed the sure -handed guidance of a professional
individual to undertake the initial task of establishing the
City on a sound tract towards success; and
WHEREAS, GEORGE CASWELL long known for his love and
devotion to the area as both neighboring resident and
professional administrator; and
WHEREAS, this knowledge of Mr. Caswell's dedication
to the community provided the impetus to recall his services
from the luxury life of retirement for the good of the
community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Diamond Bar that
GEORGE CASWELL be commended for his willingness to
undertake the initial task of the City of Diamond Bar as FIRST
Interim City Manager; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that by his long lasting
friendships with the County of Los Angeles, the City of Diamond
Bar was capable of initiating a smooth transition towards home
rule; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Diamond Bar will be forever indebted to the numerous
accomplishments achieved during the formulative months of
Cityhood.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this
City Council this 6th day of June, 1989.

City of Diamond Bar, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Diamond Bar held on the 6th day of
June, 1989, and was finally passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Diamond Bar held on the 6th day
of June, 1989, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Miller, Werner, Forbing,
Mayor Pro Tem Horcher and
NOES; COUNCIL MEMBERS: NONE Mayor Papen
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: NONE
