A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR
PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS AND REGULATIONS
RELATING TO PUBLIC HEALTH BY THE COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER WITHIN
THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR.
WHEREAS, the Health and Safety Code of the State of
California , Section 476, provides that "when the governing
body of a city in the County consents by resolution or
ordinance, the county health officer shall enforce and observe
in the city all of the following:
(a) Orders, quarantine regulations, and rules
prescribed by the State Department and other regulations issued
under the provisions of this Code;
(b) Statutes relating to the public health."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Diamond Bar consents and by this resolution does hereby consent
to such enforcement in the City of Diamond Bar of such
statutes, orders, regulations and rules by the Health officer
of Los Angeles County; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be
served on the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County on or before May 17 , 1989 , and that a
copy hereof be sent to the State Director of Public Health;
THAT the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the
City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption
thereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 2nd day of May,
1989.
