A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DIAMOND BAR ESTABLISHING A HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA STATE GOVERNMENT CODE
SECTION 67000.
A. Recitals.
(i) The California State Government Code Section 6700
establishes a holiday schedule.
(ii) The City Council of Diamond Bar desires to
establish a holiday schedule in which the City offices shall be
closed.
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Diamond Bar as follows:
1. The following is the City holiday schedule where
the City offices shall be closed and all full-time, continuous
salaried employees shall be compensated at their regular rate for
these days:
a) January 1 - New Year's Day
b) February - Presidents' Day (Third Monday)
C) May - Memorial Day
d) July 4 - Independence Day
e) September - Labor Day (First Monday)

f) November 11 - Veteran's Day
g) November - Thanksgiving Day
h) November - Day following Thanksgiving
i) December 25 - Christmas Day
2. Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the
following Monday shall be observed as a holiday and when a
holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be
observed as the holiday.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1989.
