SB 1383 Waiver Request
Official Approval of Your De Minimis Waiver
Diamond Bar Business Owner or Property Manager:
We are pleased to inform you that the City of Diamond Bar has approved your request to waive the mandatory organic waste recycling requirements. After reviewing your application and
completing an audit and site visit, we have determined that your location qualifies for an exemption under the guidelines outlined in the Public Resources Code (PRC) 18984.11. Specifically,
Senate Bill (SB) 1383 allows waivers for locations that generate 20 gallons or less of organic waste per week, commonly referred to as “de minimis” waivers, the type of waiver granted
to you.
In accordance with PRC section 18995.1, this waiver exempts your location from mandatory organics recycling program requirements for a period of five years or until the qualifying conditions
for the exemption no longer apply or if rescinded by the State. Please note that your business must notify us of any changes in your activities or operations that might impact the waiver’s
applicability. Until such changes occur, your waiver will remain in effect for the time period specified below:
