IMPORTANT NOTICE
Approval of Space Constraint Waiver
Dear Diamond Bar Business Owner or Property Manager,
We are pleased to inform you that your waiver request for exemption from
mandatory organic waste and recycling collection services has been approved by
the City of Diamond Bar.
Following review of the information and supporting documentation you provided,
along with the City’s site assessment and compliance review, the City has
determined that your property qualifies for a waiver under the guidelines
established in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 18984.11, as adopted
pursuant to SB 1383.
Specifically, the City has determined that your site meets the criteria for a Physical
Space Waiver, also referred to as a Space Constraint Waiver, due to physical
limitations that prevent the placement of additional required organic waste and
recycling containers on-site.
Pursuant to Title 14, Section 18984.11(e), approved waivers remain valid for a period
of five (5) years, unless:
• the conditions supporting the waiver are no longer applicable;
• site operations or service needs change such that adequate container
space becomes available; or
• the waiver is revoked by the City following reinspection or updated
information.
As a condition of this waiver, your business is required to notify the City promptly of
any change in site conditions, business activities, tenancy, waste generation
patterns, or operational practices that may affect continued eligibility for this
waiver.
Unless otherwise notified, this waiver shall remain in effect for the period indicated
below.
