The signs – more than 1,300 of them – are available following the recent citywide swap out of all signs for new ones that meet the latest federal standards for visibility and reflectivity. This giveaway is open only to Diamond Bar residents and business owners; only one interest form for one sign per address is allowed. If multiple submittals are received from the same household, only the first will be considered. A random drawing will be held for signs where demand exceeds availability. Seeks New Members Holiday Light Removal Reminder With the holidays behind us, residents are reminded that exterior holiday lights must be taken down within 30 days of installation but no later than mid- January in keeping with the Diamond Bar Municipal Code. Having holiday decorations on display for an extended period of time can pose a fire hazard because of their temporary use nature, and create a visual blight which detracts from the appearance of the neighborhood. Starting mid-January, the City’s neighborhood improvement officers will be checking for holiday light violations during their routine field inspections, and issuing courtesy notices to residents not in compliance. Questions about the Diamond Bar Municipal Code can be directed to the City’s Neighborhood Improvement Division by calling 909-839-7030 or emailing neighborhoodimp@diamondbarca.gov.
