Hall building twice a month, on a Monday evening and a Saturday
morning, to give residents the ability to pick a date and time most
convenient for them to attend. The same material will be covered
at all eight presentations, and there will be time for questions and

March 1 is the deadline to request
a banner to honor a family member
on active duty in the United States
military through the City’s Armed
Forces Banner Program.
Approved banners will be installed
along Grand Avenue in May, with
each custom banner displaying
the honoree’s name and branch of
service. Banners remain on display
as long as the honoree is on active duty, with annual verification
of active-duty status required.
To be eligible for a banner, an individual must be currently serving
on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces. Either the honoree or their
family member or relative – such as a spouse, child, parent, legal
guardian, grandparent, parent-in-law, or aunt or uncle – must be
a Diamond Bar resident.
For more information or to submit an application, visit
www.diamondbarca.gov/armedforces. Questions about the
program can be directed to the City’s Parks and Recreation
Department at 909-839-7073 or recreation@diamondbarca.gov.

Coyote breeding season
is underway, with mating
occurring through February
and pups expected in
March and April.
During this time, coyotes
become more vocal, active,
and protective, which can
increase the likelihood of encounters with residents and pets.
To minimize the potential for conflicts during breeding season,
residents are asked to take the following steps:
Never intentionally feed or provide water to coyotes, as this
eliminates their natural fear of people and can lead to
aggressive behavior. Feeding wildlife, including birds and
squirrels, should also be avoided as it attracts coyotes.
Do not leave pets outside at night, particularly at dawn and
dusk when coyotes are most active,
Keep dogs on short leashes during walks and avoid areas
with dense vegetation.
Install motion-sensitive lighting around the home, especially
near fruit trees or outdoor animal areas, and trim ground-
level shrubbery to reduce hiding places.
If approached or followed by a coyote, do not turn your
back or run. Instead, scare it away by waving your arms in
the air and yelling loudly and directly at the coyote. If this
fails, throw rocks in its direction.
Simply spotting coyotes is not a cause for concern. However,
individuals should contact the Inland Valley Humane Society
(IVHS) & S.P.C.A. at 909-623-9777 if they encounter a coyote or
any other wild animal that is exhibiting aggressive or unusual
behavior or appears sick.
For additional information and safety tips, visit

Three, Two, One… Snip! On Dec. 20, 2025, the City helped welcome Diamond
Bar’s newest coffee shop, Klatch Coffee, to the community with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony to mark its grand opening inside Sprouts Farmers Market.
Family-owned and operated, Klatch Coffee celebrated alongside members of the
Miss Diamond Bar Court, the San Gabriel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce,
and representatives from Sprouts Farmers Market. Representing Klatch were CEO
Heather Perry and Director of Retail Holly Perry, daughters of the company’s
founder.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is part of the City’s Business Recognition Program
under the Keep It Local: Shop Diamond Bar First initiative, which highlights new
or growing businesses that have recently opened, reached milestones, or made
significant improvements.
Diamond Bar business owners can learn more about this program by contacting
the City’s Economic Development Team at econdev@diamondbarca.gov or
