Subject:CalRecycle Public Complaint 3272025- Inspection Report
Attachments:Public Complaint Inspection Report.docx
Good afternoon, Amber,
The City of Diamond Bar inspected the concerns you submitted to CalRecycle on March 27, 2025. We
determined that each of the three locations were compliant with state regulations. Our previous
commercial waste hauler franchise with Valley Vista Services (VVS), operated a high-diversion waste
facility where recyclables were separated from trash. As a result, many locations utilized commingled
trash and recycling containers.
Since then, the City has transitioned from VVS to Waste Management (WM), and source separation of
recycling from trash is now required. This transition is currently underway and is planned for completion
by April 1, 2026.
We greatly appreciate your concern for recycling and for supporting the City’s compliance eƯorts. If you
have any questions about the attached report or the City’s waste hauler transition plan, please feel free
to reach out to me directly.
Thank you,
Tara Reyes
