Theme: Shade, Shelter, and Strength
City of Diamond Bar
Contest Deadline
Posters must be received by March 27.
• All entries must be original artwork created by the
submitter.
• Student’s rst and last name must be written or signed on
the lower right-hand corner on the front of the poster.
• Artwork must on standard 8 ½” by 11” paper with sucient
clarity to allow for duplication, displaying, and framing.
• Posters may be full color or black and white, and made with
crayons, markers, colored pencils, watercolors, or paint.

Collages, and computer or AI-generated art are not allowed.
The theme: “Shade, Shelter, and Strength” must be on the
poster, all words must be spelled correctly.
• Entries should be at, not folded, matted, mounted, framed
or laminated, and must not have glitter or glued-on items.
Trees support life all around us. Their shade keeps us
cool on hot days, their branches give shelter to
wildlife, and their strong roots keep our soil in place.
This strengthens the environment, making our
neighborhoods, parks, and planet a better place.

Prizes
First-, second-, and third-place winners will be selected in each
of the two divisions: grades 4 and 5, and grades 6 and 7, and
awarded a Target gift card - $50, $25, and $15, respectively.
Recognition
Winners will be recognized at the City’s Earth Day Celebration
taking place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at the AQMD
parking lot, located at 21865 Copley Drive.
Poster Submission
Cut and fill out the entry form below, tape it to the back of
your poster, and submit it to City Hall by Friday, March 27:
