Low Council Member District 2 July 1, 2025 EDIBLE FOOD GENERATOR PROGRAM TRANSITION NOTICE Business Owner: Thank you for your participation in the Edible Food Generator (EFG) Program, as required by California Senate Bill (SB) 1383. Your efforts to recover edible food that would otherwise go to waste help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen our local food recovery network. We want to inform you that the City of Diamond Bar will be transitioning consulting support for the EFG Program. CityGreen Consulting (CGC) will serve as the City’s consultant for the Program and related SB 1383 compliance activities. CGC will provide the following services: • Educating and supporting businesses on SB 1383 requirements • Assisting with locating and contracting with a food recovery organization • Performing annual inspections of edible food generator sites • Collecting and reporting food donation data In the coming months, CityGreen Consulting staff will be reaching out by field visits, phone calls, or email to introduce their team and assist you in meeting SB 1383 requirements.
