Impact Report 3 From Farm to Kitchen: The Environmental Impacts of U.S. Food Waste The EPA report, "From Farm to Kitchen: The Environmental Impacts of U.S. Food Waste," highlights the significant environmental consequences of food waste in the United States. Over a third of the food produced in the U.S. is never consumed, leading to a waste of resources and various environmental problems. Food waste is the most common material in landfills and incinerators, making up a large percentage of municipal solid waste. The report emphasizes that reducing food waste can improve food security, increase productivity and economic efficiency, conserve resources and energy, and combat climate change. The report focuses on the environmental footprint of the U.S. food supply chain, from agricultural land and water use to the application of pesticides and fertilizers, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. By providing estimates of the environmental impact of current food waste levels, the EPA aims to help policymakers, researchers, and the public make informed decisions, prioritize environmental concerns, and develop effective strategies to minimize food waste. The report also identifies areas where further research is needed to better understand and address the environmental impact of food waste in the U.S. Market Report 4 Overview of Contacts T1/T2 Business Name Contact Name Contact Phone Business Address City Email Super H Mart Mr. Yun (909) 839-0300 2825 S Diamond Bar Blvd Diamond Bar diamondbar@hmart.com Target #2179 Michael (909) 610-2149 747 Grand Ave Diamond Bar Walmart #4762 Do Nguyen (909) 378-4055 1180 S Diamond Bar Diamond Bar d0n00ho.s04762.us@walmart.com Albertsons Pete (909) 861-6207 8850 Foothill Blvd Diamond Bar s3554c40@albertsons.com Market World Martin Sok (909) 839-1121 21080 Golden Springs Dr Diamond Bar dbhannam@yahoo.com Sprouts Ron (909) 378-4980 239 S Diamond Bar Blvd Diamond Bar Smart & Final Sabra (909) 444-0044 240 S Diamond Bar Blvd Diamond Bar cc942@smartandfinal.com Diamond Fresh Temo (909) 595-1300 21168 Golden Springs Dr Diamond Bar diamondfreshmarketinc@gmail.com Chili's Vanity (909) 396-1222 707 Grand Ave Diamond Bar c01149mgr@chilis.com Diamond Bar Golf Course Mark (909) 861-8282 22751 Golden Springs Dr Diamond Bar gm@diamondbargc.com Diamond Palace Cuisine of India (909) 860-2625 1241 Grand Ave Diamond Bar Peacock Gardens (909) 860-2606 23347 Golden Springs Dr Diamond Bar peacockgardens@gmail.com New Aashiyana Restaurant Akbar Ali (909) 396-0176 245 Gentle Springs Ln Diamond Bar akbarali1446@yahoo.com Daimond Bar Center Ryan Wright (909) 839-7061 1600 Grand Ave Diamond Bar rwright@diamondbarca.gov Blue Sky Café Fara Morales (909) 396-2019 21815 Copley Dr Diamond Bar mzbutterball@icloud.com 5 As of the end of January, there are a total of eight Tier 1 Generators.
