Outreach Activities:
In September of 2022 Abound Food Care focused our efforts on coordinating outreach to the
identified non-participating Tier 1 generators. This outreach included information on SB1383,
food donation education and program requirements, and further information on how to begin
their food donation efforts. This included on-site visits as well as virtual touchpoints including
email and phone calls. We will continue our outreach to the non-participating Tier 1 generators
and continue to offer our support in getting them in compliance with requirements of SB1383.
We have not yet begun work on outreach or providing touchpoints to the identified Tier 2
generators. We will begin our outreach to Tier 2 generators next year as the deadline for Tier 2
is not until 2024.
