Vil Safety Tips Keep Children Safe Around Collection Trucks Collection trucks can be fascinating to watch as they keep our neighborhoods clean, but safety should always come first! Here are some important tips to ensure your little ones stay safe: •Keep a Safe Distance: It’s easy for kids to get excited and want to follow collection trucks. Please remind them to keep a safe distance, as these trucks frequently stop and back up. •Enjoy the Show from Afar: Encourage your children to watch the collection process from a safe spot. •Hands Off, Helpers!: Remind your child that only professionals should load trash or recycling into the truck to keep everyone safe. •Stay Visible: Remind your child that if they can’t see the driver’s eyes, the driver likely can’t see them. By following these simple tips, we can all enjoy the impressive work of our collection teams while keeping our children and pets safe. Prevent Trash Fires in Your Community Did you know?
