Hi Tara,
Thank you again for taking the time to speak with me yesterday. I wanted to recap our conversation and reaƯirm
next steps:
During the transition—through container exchanges and account setup—WM identified 230 accounts without
recycling service and 96 accounts without organics service. This diƯers from the customer data provided for the
transition, which indicated higher enrollment levels for both recycling and organics. As outlined during our
December 17th meeting, WM is prepared to begin the automated rollout process:
• 60-day notification letters will be mailed on January 15, and 30-day notification letters will be mailed on
February 15.
• WM will begin delivering containers on March 15.
We appreciate your understanding that this represents a heavier lift than originally anticipated and will require
additional time to bring all City’s businesses and multifamily properties into full SB 1383 compliance.
