HomeMy WebLinkAboutRFP_Sycamore Canyon Park Lower Bridge Removal City of Diamond Bar | Public Works Department 21810 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765 www.DiamondBarCA.gov | (909) 839-7000 Request for Proposals Sycamore Canyon Park Lower Parking Lot Pedestrian Bridge Removal Project CIP No. FP25508 The City of Diamond Bar (“City”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide design services and develop plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the Sycamore Canyon Park Lower Parking Lot Pedestrian Bridge Removal Project (CIP No. FP25508). Attached is an exhibit and general overview of the site and project for reference. This Project includes the following scope-of-work items: 1. Demolition and proper removal of the existing bridge structure, including approaches, and cutting the bridge support columns without disturbing the creek bed; 2. Grading, including hardscape and landscape improvements as necessary, to accommodate new pedestrian travel from the lower parking lot to the trail head; 3. Removal, and relocation of the existing swing gate and signage to accommodate the new pedestrian travel from the lower parking lot to the trail head; 4. Removal and replacement of the existing curb, gutter, and pavement (per City standards) as necessary. 5. Relocation of the electrical conduit (attached to this bridge) which provides electrical service to one (1) existing light fixture; 6. The current bridge is constructed from pressure-treated wood. The designer needs to identify and test the bridge for hazardous materials and provide specifications for the removal and disposal; and, 7. [Optional items, but required to be included in a responsive proposal] a. Bid & Construction Support; b. Geotechnical Investigation; c. As-Built Plans; d. Environmental Compliance; and, e. Field Survey. A mandatory pre-proposal job walk is scheduled on-site at Sycamore Canyon Park (22930 Golden Springs Dr, Diamond Bar, CA 91765) on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at 2:00pm.
