RE: New Waste Collection Provider Starting Sept. 1, 2025
Dear City of Diamond Bar Resident,
Thank you for the opportunity to serve the Diamond Bar community. Beginning Monday, September 1, 2025, Valley Vista Services (VVS) will take over as your new waste service provider,
with WM continuing service through August 31.
Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible. Here are a few things to keep in mind for the transition:
Automatic payments: Any automatic payments with WM will end after your August 2025 payment is processed. You will need to set up a new payment method with VVS. Details on how to do this
will be provided closer to the transition date. Updated service rates will take effect on September 1, 2025. Full details are available at the link: https://www.diamondbarca.gov/2025wastehaulers
Cart Exchange: From June 2 to July 18, VVS will begin replacing WM carts with new VVS carts. On your regular service day, please place all WM carts—full or empty—at the curb for pickup
and replacement. After collection, bring your carts back in as usual.
Community Meetings: Informational meetings for both residents and businesses will be held in July and August. These sessions will provide details about the transition and allow time
for questions. Both in-person and virtual options will be available. Visit the City’s website for dates:

Labor Day Holiday: Because the transition begins on a holiday week, your service day will shift by one day during the first week of September. Regular service schedules will resume the
following week.
