To make separating food waste easier, werecommend using a container in your kitchen to
collect food scraps, lined with a clear ortransparent plastic bag. Once the bag is full,securely tie it and place it in your organics cart.Yard waste can be placed directly into the cart
without a bag. Do not place the food pail out forservice.
Clear liners can be found online at Target,
Costco, and Amazon; produce bags for fruits
and vegetables are also acceptable.

The organics cart is designated for organic
waste, which includes both yard waste and foodwaste.

Senate Bill 1383:
Mandatory Organics Recycling
Effective January 1, 2022, Senate Bill 1383 aims to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions by diverting
organic waste from landfills. It requires
residential and commercial properties to
separate organic waste and mandates that
qualifying businesses implement food rescue
programs to donate surplus food to food-
insecure communities.

Valley Vista Services!
As your new residential waste hauler, Valley VistaServices (VVS) is committed to making your
transition seamless and your service exceptional.During the changeover, we’ve replaced allprevious waste carts with VVS-branded carts:
Black Trash Cart
Use this for everything else. Pleasedo not place household hazardouswaste (HHW) in this cart.
Use this cart for yard trimmings andorganic waste.
Green Organics Cart
Blue Recycling CartPlace clean and dry recyclableitems here.
Thank you for helping us keep your communityclean and green!
Place all carts curbside by 6:00 AM on yourscheduled service day.
Set-Out Tips
Keep at least 2 feet of clearance betweencarts and other objects such as vehicles,mailboxes, and other carts.
Ensure lids are closed and carts are not
overfilled.
Holiday Schedule
Collection Service will not run on these holidays:
If your regular collection day falls on or after one
of these holidays, pick up will be delayed one day.
Excluding holidays, our normal business hours are:
Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. and
Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Three ways to schedule a bulky pickup:

To ensure timely service, please submit requestsat least 24 hours before your scheduled serviceday.

Access our Online Payment Portal
Customers can create an online accountthrough the VVS Payment Portal. By creating anonline account, you’ll be able to view invoices,make payments, enroll in autopay, and update
your billing preferences.
To get started, you’ll need your account numberand access code, both located on the front ofyour invoice. Be sure to include “25” at thebeginning of your account number when

On-Call Sharps Containers
VVS offers FREE delivery of sharpscontainers for customers participatingin the home-generated Sharps mail-back program. To request a container,please call us at (626) 855-5501 oremail us at DBresidential@myvvs.com.
Discounts Available
Disability Discount: Customers verified asdisabled through a valid DMV-issued handicapcertification may also be eligible for a discount.The disabled individual must be the named
account holder on the VVS bill to qualify.
Valley Vista Services offers two types ofresidential discounts for eligible customers:
Senior Discount: Customers 60 years of age orolder may qualify for a senior discount. To beeligible, the applicant must be the accountholder, reside at the service address, and provide
a valid ID for age verification. If you meet thecriteria, you can apply by visiting our website toaccess the application form.

Curbside Used Oil
and Oil Filter Collection
Customers can place used motor oil and oilfilters at the curb on their regular collection day
at no additional cost. Used motor oil must becontained in a clean, sealed container, and oilfilters should be placed in clean, sealed zip-lockbags to ensure safe handling and recycling.
