VVS has begun delivering new carts in select areas of the City. Cart exchanges will continue through July 18. To help ensure a smooth process, please place all carts (full or empty) at the curb on your regular collection day, if possible. If any new VVS carts are missed or arrive damaged, please contact VVS by phone or email. When will service start? Service with VVS starts on September 1st. However, since September 1st is Labor Day, your service day for the first week will be delayed by one day. Please continue to contact WM for all service-related matters, including missed pickups, bulky item requests, and household hazardous waste (HHW) scheduling. Do I need to start an account? You do not need to start an account. All customers have been automatically enrolled with VVS and will maintain the same service level, including cart size, number of carts, and collection day. To make updates to your account, you may contact VVS by phone or make changes online. When does billing start, and will my autopay transfer over? The first VVS bill, covering September-October, will be mailed in August. Autopay information will not transfer from WM. To enroll in autopay or paperless billing, please visit the VVS website or contact customer service. Will my Senior/Disabled discount and Valet service carry over? All services and discounts previously enrolled with WM will carry over to VVS— there is no need to reapply. If you are not currently enrolled and would like to apply, forms are available online. VVS offers the following at no extra cost: Bulky Item Pickups: Up to 4 pickups per year; 4 items per pickup. On-Call Sharps Containers: Free mail-back sharps container delivery. Door-to-Door Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection: Two door-to-door pickups per year. Curbside Used Oil and Oil Filter Collection: Curbside collection on regular service days.
