WASTE RECYCLING

This notice is to inform you of the new Organics Recycling Program for multi-family residences beginning
Monday, April 4, 2022. This is in accordance with California State Law SB 1383, which mandates the
recycling of all residential and commercial food waste, also known as organics.
To assist with this transition, Valley Vista Services will be providing FREE food pails to each household
and hosting community workshops to help educate residents on how to participate.
Food pails and other helpful resources will be available for pick up during these two (2) upcoming
community workshops:
Wednesday, March 9
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Diamond Bar Center
(Sycamore Room)
1600 Grand Ave.
*Please be sure to RSVP for one of our workshops by emailing organics@myvvs.com with your
name, address, and the workshop date you will be attending.
Saturday, March 12
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Diamond Bar Center
(Oak Room)
1600 Grand Ave.
Participation in the Organic Waste Recycling program is mandatory as outlined by the State of California.
Food pails are being provided as a courtesy to you. *If you are unable to attend a community workshop,
food pails will be also available for pickup at Diamond Bar City Hall after March 12.
Residents will need to prepare to begin separating and recycling their food waste beginning Monday,
April 4, 2022. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Department at
