I hope you are well.
My name is Cathy and I am reaching out from the City of Diamond Bar to obtain a list of approved high diversion organic waste facilities and also learn more about the requirements of
one. We reviewed the CalRecycle FAQs page <https://calrecycle.ca.gov/organics/slcp/faq/swf/> which states that:
“A high diversion organic waste processing facility refers to transfer/processing facilities and operations that handle mixed waste organic collection streams as defined in Section 17402(a)(11.5)
and meet the 50 percent (by 2022) or 75 percent (by 2025) mixed waste organic recovery rates set forth in Section 18815.5(e).”
We want to ensure that our haulers are in compliance with SB 1383, and part of that requirement is for materials to be adequately diverted and recovered. Would you be available for a
call sometime next week to discuss this?
