Yes, Grand Central is considered a high diversion facility. I am trying to put a list of high diversion facilities together which is why I am bugging you and the other facilities.

Below are my notes from our conversation yesterday regarding the sampling at GCS. Let me know if I missed anything.
MO (mixed waste)
Recovery
After processing, take a 200lb sample from each of the material types on material leaving the site that day. Pull out any incompatibles from the organics, get a ratio of the amount of
organics/sample weight. Apply the ratio to the larger amount of material leaving that day.
Material types:
Cardboard
Paper
MO (mixed waste)
Disposal
After processing the MO stream, take a 200lb sample of the waste at the end of the processing line destined for the landfill that day. Pull out any organics from the trash. Get the
ratio of organics/sample weight. Apply the ratio to the larger amount leaving that day.
SSO (source separated)
Recovery
After processing/sorting, take a 200lb sample from each material type on day material is leaving the site. Pull out incompatibles, subtract from sample size to get organic portion.
Apply the organics ratio to the amount leaving the facility that day.
Material types:
Green material
Wood
Food bags are pulled from green waste. Segregated from other material and is transferred to Puente Hills MRF. No sampling required.
