This in-person workshop will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Discussions will include an overview of weather monitoring processes, including providing an overview of the National Weather Service Heat Risk tool, summary of the criteria and processes followed for activation of County cooling centers, and information sharing needs and procedures with Operational Area partners. We also want to hear your thoughts and best practices regarding preparing for and responding to extreme heat. Please note, the spreadsheet has 2 tabs: * The first tab includes all the cooling centers submitted via the surveys, with carry-over from sites the cities operated last year. * The second tab includes all the cooling centers that your cities operated last year, but were not included in this year's surveys. Please feel free to follow-up with your cities as appropriate to see if they plan to activate any of their sites that were activated last year, but were not submitted to this year's list.
