From what I could see it appears the encampment that was off Sunset Crossing may be smaller or no longer there. However, I did see persons at the Diamond Bar Blvd SR-60 westbound offramp.
When I was there CHP was citing someone, but unsure if a vehicle or a person.
If you notice anything different than what is in the photograph I took please let me know. I will stop by again on Tuesday to see if the situation is different. I would estimate people
are just moving along from Point A to B.

Forwarding this update to additional staff for reference. Residents have been calling and submitting service requests regarding a new encampment that is adjacent to the flood control
channel that is near Sunset Crossing and SR-57, at the base of the canyon behind Rock River.
County is aware and submitted housing outreach, and I submitted a request as well. I will ask LA CADA to reach out today.

Thank you for calling me back and providing the information on County Flood Control process for reported encampment on flood control property. Your process parallels the City’s, where
we ask for homeless outreach services while we confirm the location of the reported encampment. Once that confirmation is made, then we start on the next steps which ideally is the
safe relocation of persons and then a cleanup of the impacted area.
The location we have for the reported encampment is just south of Sunset Crossing, west of the State Route 57 freeway. It is difficult to determine if the encampment is on flood control
property, on Caltrans property, or private hillside. I’ve included a screenshot below with a red circle where it appears the encampment is located. There have been a couple encampments
the last six months but primarily on Caltrans ROW.
If you know the date that your team will inspect please let me know. We can coordinate with our Sheriff special assignment team so they can support your personnel during their inspection.
