There is a possibility for filming at the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) for next Wednesday, August 3 or Friday, August 5. They are working with AQMD to secure the
facility for production, which will include a horse dressed as a unicorn fueling hydrogen cell vehicles. Once they confirm they have the facility, they will submit the permit request
through the Film LA portal.
In the meantime, production may include trailer mounted generators as well as small portable generators. I have informed production to provide me with the kW rating of the generators,
number of generators, and the site plan. Once the permit is routed I will send to everyone for review. However, I am off tomorrow and I want to give as much advance notice as possible
in case we need to expedite film permit review first thing next week.
Bayard Outerbridge is with production, but they are working with a permit running firm. I’ve also spoken with Shelley in case they reach out separately to get the generator permit paperwork
started.

That could work. I would need the generator info today so I can send to building and we can put the inspection date on calendar. The Film LA info would need to be put in system asap

Slight adjustment to our contingency plan. AQMD can't do Friday Aug 5 so we would have to do Wed Aug 3. We should know by 4pm today. Could that still work on your end?

* Production needs to ensure there is either a veterinarian onsite or on-call ensuring the health/wellbeing of the horse.
* On the day of filming, IVHS will need to be notified so that can inspect location and ensure conditions are being followed.
Please provide me with the filming date so they can put on calendar. Once the permit is submitted through Film LA I will work with other City Departments to review for any other
considerations, such as any generators that may be on site.

Thanks for your email. I would encourage you to start the film permit process through Film LA while I work with our animal control provider IVHS (Inland Valley Humane Society and
S.P.C.A.) if there are any special conditions or considerations we need to include in the film permit.
I will update shortly once I get a confirmation if there is anything needed beyond the normal film permit. For example, IVHS may want to be physically present prior to production
to ensure the location is safe for the horse and any other livestock on set.
