Good morning all, Just a reminder that this afternoon’s 1pm Zonehaven planning meeting is geared towards cities not served by Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch and is a repeat of last week’s meeting, just held twice to accommodate schedules. While open to all the target audience are the Cities of: Arcadia, Avalon, Burbank, Glendale, Monrovia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, West Covina. The meeting will be a discussion of options and best practices for integrating zones into local systems and procedures such as mass notification systems, GIS, social media, and field usage, etc. For planning purposes the below are some of the topics that will be discussed: 1. What is/will be your city’s workflow for use of zones? 2. Who will update the status of zones? 3. Who will update the content of zones? 4. If city has mass notification tools, how will they be integrated with zones? 5. Who should receive Zone Mapping Service for local GIS/Mass Notification? 6. Who should receive zone update status notification email? For jurisdictions served by Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch we continue to work with them on procedures and testing for integrating Zonehaven to support local mass notification systems for those jurisdictions and the unincorporated area. The attached slides cover some of the initial workflow being developed and tested and were reviewed at last week’s meeting.
