Hello all,
As we are starting to see temperatures rise, we wanted to host a workshop to help us collectively be better prepared for the upcoming heat season. This in-person workshop will take
place on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Discussions will include an overview of weather monitoring processes, including providing an overview of the National Weather Service Heat Risk tool, summary of the criteria and processes
followed for activation of County cooling centers, and information sharing needs and procedures with Operational Area partners.
We also want to hear your thoughts and best practices regarding preparing for and responding to extreme heat.
