Greetings.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard will NOT be holding a conference call today, but there are some items to raise to your awareness. Gusty onshore winds are expected
on Saturday, but with high RH. Offshore winds will develop Sunday through Monday, with rapid drying. See supporting images at the very bottom.
SATURDAY:
* Winds: SW-W Gusts 25-40 mph. Isolated gusts to 50 mph possible.
* Strongest Mountains and Interior Valleys, including the Antelope Valley.
* Humidity: Mins 30-50% except 50-70% coasts and valleys.
* Temperatures: Highs 65-73 common.
* Down 20-30 degrees from today.
SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY:
* Winds: N-NE Gusts 30-45 mph.
* Sunday: Strongest over all county mountains and Santa Clarita Valley.
* Monday: Strongest over mountains and valleys of LA and Ventura Counties.
* Winds could reach the coast for a few hours on Monday.
* Humidity: Mins 20-40% Sunday, 10-20% on Monday.
* Temperatures: Highs 68-78 common, warmest Monday.
* Assessment:
* 2-6 hours of Red Flag conditions expected on Monday over LA & Ventura County Valleys and Mountains.
* 30% chance of Red Flag Warnings needed.
* Brevity of event and offset peaks of winds and dry air are limiting factors.
OUTLOOK:
* Tuesday & Wednesday: Breezy onshore winds. Modest warming, High Temperatures 70-80, Minimum Humidities 12-25%.
* Thursday: Breezy offshore winds possible. Minimal temperature changes. Modest drying. Low confidence forecast.
