Greetings, The Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office | Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is sponsoring the Los Angeles County Operational Area (OA) Cybersecurity Program, which aims to create regional cybersecurity preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities by engaging regional partners in coordination, collaboration, and information sharing. These activities will help to maximize unity of effort, leverage existing regional capabilities, and determine opportunities for future enhancements in cybersecurity readiness. The project will include cybersecurity planning, training, and exercise components supported by Hagerty Consulting as a trusted partner and facilitator. Attached you will find an overview of the project, which includes components that have been specifically designed to enhance regional cybersecurity preparedness, including but not limited to: * Conducting a Cybersecurity Preparedness Survey * Conducting a Cybersecurity Gap Analysis * Developing a Cybersecurity Strategic Plan and Implementation Roadmap * Developing Plans and Response Frameworks that better integrate regional emergency managers into cybersecurity response * Providing a "Cybersecurity in Emergency Management 101" Training Series * Conducting Tabletop Exercises and Regional Functional Exercise You are receiving this email as you have been identified as a key partner who could assist in this region-wide planning effort. To kickstart this process, OEM is requesting your assistance in completing this short survey <https://forms.microsoft.com/r/SkEdDj41hZ> by Thursday, September 15, 2022. You can also preview the survey questions in the second attachment. This survey will help assess the region’s cybersecurity preparedness priorities and gaps to inform the Gap Analysis and follow-on planning, training, and exercise products. Your input is essential to conducting a robust analysis and ensuring that the program addresses the needs of the region. Please also share this survey with cities in your Disaster Management Area to ensure comprehensive regional data is received. I will serve as the primary OEM point-of-contact (POC) for this program, supported by our Hagerty consultant planning POC, Erin Bajema.
