We plan on issuing a full email briefing this afternoon, but with some significant forecast changes coming in, we wanted to give you a quick morning update. The first storm is still on track to move through the area today and tonight. The new wrinkle has the moisture plume from tonight's storm stalling over Ventura or western Los Angeles County Friday morning, then being picked up by the second storm and moving northward through Saturday, and finally moving down the area Saturday night through Sunday. As such, the forecast rainfall totals over San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties have increased with 12-24 hours of steady rain now expected, while totals over Ventura and Los Angeles Counties have decreased. Thunderstorms are still NOT expected, and peak rain rates have changed little. Periods of south wind 25-45 mph remain. More details will follow with the afternoon briefing. Interact With Us!
