Greetings.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard will NOT be holding a conference call today, but there are some items to raise to your awareness.
SUNDAY (Interior Valleys, Mountains, Antelope Valley):
* Winds:
* Gusty west to north winds across mountains, Antelope Valley, SLO county interior vlys
* Gusts 25-35 mph (isolated gusts 40 mph I-5 Corridor, western Antelope Valley foothills)
* Humidity: Mins 8-20% (Driest Antelope Valley)
* Temperatures: Highs 80-88 (Warmest on the valley floor).
* Assessment:
* Elevated Fire Weather Conditions afternoon/ early evening hours
* Drying fuels
* Active wildfires possible across interior
MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY (Interior Valleys, Mountains, Antelope Valley):
* Winds:
* Northeast wind gusts 20-30 mph across interior (strongest LA county mountains) morning-early afternoon, shifting to west-northwest late afternoon/evening
* Light northeast winds potentially reaching Santa Clarita Valley Tuesday morning.
* Humidity: Mins 8-20% (Driest across LA mountains/Antelope Valley)
* Temperatures: Highs 85-95
* Assessment:
* Elevated Fire Weather Conditions

* Brief Critical Fire Weather Conditions (2-4 hours) each day possible across LA county mountains
*
* Red Flag Warnings for most extreme conditions NOT expected
* Active wildfires possible across interior
OUTLOOK:
* Gusty onshore winds likely to continue across interior Wednesday through Friday due to strong onshore flow.
* Warm and dry conditions continue across interior Wednesday into Thursday, slight cooling Friday.
