Sewage from this facility will be diverted to other locations by truck to a designated site. This work is anticipated to only be a one-day operation. The City’s Public Works Department will monitor this work to help minimize any traffic impacts, with ensuring that construction vehicles follow the approved haul route. bus shelters<https://www.diamondbarca.gov/Areas/CivicSend/Assets/Uploads/4600/d62636eef01a4717a61873ea677e48cd_optimized.jpg> Installation of New Shelters Begins Next Week The replacement of the city’s 30 bus shelters is scheduled to start next week. The new shelters will have a more modern look, and have various improvements over the existing one, including solar and LED lighting for improved visibility and energy efficiency, and longer benches and bigger trash containers to accommodate waiting passengers. In about half of the locations, work will also include the demolishing and construction of a new concrete pad. During construction, buses will continue to run on their regular schedules. However, bus stops may be temporarily relocated a few feet away as needed to accommodate construction work. It is anticipated that all new shelters will be in place by mid-June. Funding for the project comes from Proposition A, a half-cent sales tax measure approved by Los Angeles County voters to fund transportation-related projects and improvements. Questions regarding the bus shelter replacement project should be directed to the City’s Public Works Department at publicworks@diamondbarca.gov or (909) 839-7060.
