*** Elevated fire weather conditions across interior Southwest California through Wednesday due to hot and dry conditions with potential for large vertical plume growth ***
*** Slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday across eastern San Gabriels and eastern Antelope Valley ***
TODAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY :
* Temperatures:
* 75-85 near the coast, 90-105 valleys, lower mountains, and deserts
* Heat Advisory for Interior Valleys of San Luis Obispo County/Cuyama Valley Tuesday-Wednesday
* Humidity:
* Minimum 8-20% far valleys, mountains, and deserts
* Poor overnight recoveries (especially mountains/foothills)
* Winds:
* LA County mountains, Santa Clarita Valley, and interior: Afternoon and early evening southwesterly gusts 20-30 mph.
* Western Santa Ynez Range: Overnight northwest gusts 25-35 mph tonight (mainly near Gaviota)
* Lowest humidity with these winds 25-45%.
* Elsewhere general afternoon onshore breezes
* Assessment:
* Elevated fire weather conditions valleys, mountains, and deserts
* Peak mixing heights 10,000-15,000 ft mountains and valleys could produce plume driven fire behavior with any new or existing fires
* Moderate Heat Risk for those who are sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration in many valleys and mountains, as well as Antelope Valley
OUTLOOK FOR THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY:
* Continued above normal temperatures with highs 90-105 valleys, lower mountains, and deserts Thursday into Friday, then slight cooling over the weekend
* Monsoon moisture is expected to slowly increase across far eastern LA County mountains/Antelope Valley late in the week, leading to a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms by
Saturday (LOW CONFIDENCE).

This program provides, through your facility, a place where residents can go to get relief from extreme heat during the summer months when authorities determine a heat event poses a
risk to public health. This survey is intended to improve coordination and amplify services offered throughout the Operational Area related to Cooling Centers. Sites submitted via
