City Seeks Volunteer Award Nominations
Know someone who has made a positive difference in the community this past year? Here is your opportunity to honor them!
The City is now accepting nominations for its 2022 Outstanding Volunteer Awards Program, and needs your help in identifying deserving individuals, community organizations, or businesses.
Your nominee(s) can be a family member, friend, neighbor, classmate, or anyone else you have witnessed consistently performing good deeds or acts of kindness. It can also be a community
organization or a local business that is giving back to the community.
There are four award categories – Youth (age 17 and younger), Adult (Age 18 and older), Community Organization, and Business. Nominees selected for recognition will be awarded certificates
by the City Council and other elected officials on Saturday, December 10 as part of the City’s Winter Snow Fest festivities.
Nominations will be accepted until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10. The nomination form and additional details are available on the City’s website at https://www.diamondbarca.gov/447/Volunteer-Rec

Community Development Department
October 2022 Plan Check and Permit Revenues
The City issued 163 building permits and received $118,365 in permit and plan check fees in October, a 34% increase over October 2021, and a nearly twofold increase over October 2020.
Staff is cautiously optimistic that permit activity will stay on track to meet or exceed the fiscal year estimate of $1.25 million.

Diamond Bar Center Slope Stabilization Project
The construction of the concrete reinforced grade beam was completed this week. Grading, concrete work and landscaping improvements are set to begin next week.
