HomeMy WebLinkAboutTrees Service Emergency Callouts.msgHi Aaron, I recently had a meeting with the City’s tree service contractor (West Coast Arborists) to discuss among other things our emergency callout procedures. Overall, both the City and contractor are very happy with the current system by which the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriffs are able to directly call in to them if a tree related emergency response is needed. That being said, in an effort to further streamline this process, we would like to request that when LASO staff is calling in a tree emergency, that they include the following information: 1. Specify whether the concern is an entire tree or only a branch. 2. If it’s a branch, specify if the branch is down on the ground or hanging in the tree. 3. What is the approximate diameter and length of the tree or branch in question. If our contractor has this information prior to their response, they will be better able to dispatch the appropriate amount of staff and equipment to resolve the situation in a much more timely manner. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this matter.
