Good afternoon Roger,
Thank you for discussing your engineer’s schedule earlier today. I have included the work schedule items from the November 4, 2021 Notice of Order below for reference. To memorialize
our discussion, you had indicated that the shoring plan check submittal and plan documents for the red tagged balconies will be submitted by December 31, 2021 (item 1 below). You had
also told me that all the remainder of work would be submitted prior to January 31, 2022 (items 2 through 5). The remainder of work documents would be plan check submittal, plan drawings,
and supporting calculations. I had mentioned that the expectation is that some destructive testing will be needed.
Additionally, the remaining items 6-7 as well as work for item 5 will be expected to start in February 2022 (based on your prior email). Based on this, you are in compliance with the
current Notice of Order deadline. Please ensure that you submit plan documents for the shoring by December 31, 2021 and the comprehensive design documents prior to January 31, 2022.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
1. Temporary shoring of areas of immediate hazard which includes balconies of units D8, F6, E8, B8, H7, G7, and H8.
2. Permanent repair of areas listed in item 1 above.
3. Permanent repair of stairs and support which includes units C6 and K8.
4. Repair of any loose tile throughout the sloped roof areas.
5. A comprehensive repair plan shall be completed based on exposure of the structural elements of the building. The repair plan shall prioritize and include a clear timeline on when
each repair item will be completed.
6. A contractor or remediation company shall review the extent of any water damage and prioritize repairs or remediation necessary for any substandard or hazardous water damaged conditions
such as for mold or protection of the structure.
7. Any unpermitted construction work shall be removed or appropriately permitted.

Hello Raymond,
According to the City's November Order: "Prior to December 31, 2021, plans and a work schedule for correction of all conditions described below must be submitted to the City of Diamond
Bar." I emailed you the plans and a work schedule this morning. We don't find the City's November Order requires all work to be done before December 31, 2021. We believe we are in compliance
with the City's November Order. Englekirk Engineers will address the shoring of the balconies and fixing the loose roof tiles in their design.

I'd like to report to you the progress we have made to satisfy the City's requirements in the November's Order.
1. We have retained Englekirk Engineers to perform structural design to address all the structural related requirements in the City's November Order. Englekirk Engineers will submit
the required drawings and calculations to the City for permit once the design is completed. We expect we will have the permit in January 2022.
2. We will have contractors' bids for construction after structural design is permitted by the City. We expect we will select the final bid and start construction in February 2022.
3. We have obtained multiple bids for the termite work. Termite work will start once the structural repairs are complete so all the new wood brought to the buildings could also be treated
for termites. We expect all termite work will be completed in June 2022.
