Ryan,
Attached to the FTP link are some post-rain photos that I took of the trail this morning.
A few minor notes:
* The equipment should have drip pans under it as previously agreed to.
* Although it looks like Danny covered all stockpiles over at the switchback section, most of the plastic has blown off or slid off due to presumably inadequate weight put on them beforehand.
He did try, but you’ll see in the photos that a lot of it is no longer covering what it should be.
* Erosion is not as bad as I thought it might be. There are some moderate-sized rills running down the road but it’s not horrible.
* Not sure what’s with the velocity reducer at the end of that first v-ditch. Is that what it’s supposed to look like? Looks like he just dropped some rocks there, it doesn’t look like
anything that was actually designed.
* That last gabion area, don’t know why all the rocks are scattered on the trail but seems odd and like it would cause more work now that they’re partially buried.
* The last v-ditch seems to have done a pretty good job of slowing water down at the end where the rocks are but you can clearly see that there was erosion downstream of it to the grass.
Presumably adding more rock higher up in the ditch would help, but also as you know the velocity reducer at the end.
