The 3 risers rule that we discovered the same day we started the steps caused the elongated steps construction and the consumption of timber beyond expectations. I am planning to construct the remainder of the steps 6' wide with handrail so we can go as many risers as possible without the need for a landing. This will allow for a faster install and more rise. No worries, I am ready for the handrail installation. Thank you Danny Daher DD Systems Inc. As steps #3 are 4 risers, will you do a handrail here or modify how many you place in this location series? Then with the long stretch of steps #4 through #26, with some (3) or less risers while some are indicated as up to (6) risers, are you building some as 4’-0” wide while others are 6’-0” wide due to being more than 3 risers? I understand you are working on a CAD drawing to further analyze this long run. And, the actual field elevation changes make the final decision, are you trying to build the whole series with a max of (3) risers prior to a landing throughout? These steps are much longer and more risers and landings than shown on the plans. I almost ran out of timber. Plan calls out for 10 risers at this location, we installed 48 risers.
