HomeMy WebLinkAbout11_22_22 Canyon Loop Trail Daily Biomonitoring Report.docxEndemic Environmental Services DAILY BIO-MONITORING REPORT Date:11/22/22 Day:Tuesday Project/Stage of Project:Diamond Bar Canyon Loop Trail Improvement, gabion setup Name of Bio-monitor:Alex Eagleton Location:Diamond Bar Location Description:Coastal Sage Scrub and Coast Live Oak Woodland, behind residential area Map # (If applicable):N/A Bio-monitoring Activity Start Time:0700 End Time:0930 Bio-monitoring Notes: ●The biologist surveyed the site for new vegetation disturbance,construction progress,and compliance with permit requirements. ○No new vegetation disturbance or ground disturbance was detected. ○Gabion cages continue to be assembled and placed according to plans (Figure 2). ○New installation of concrete swale has occurred (Figure 3). ●The total acreage of permanently impacted vegetation is currently 0.0966 acres.By vegetation community, permanent impacts are as follows. ○Disturbed Coast Sage Scrub: 0.0572 ac ○CA Sagebrush - Black Sage Scrub: 0.0049 ac ○Coast Prickly Pear Scrub: 0.0159 ac ○Mustard: 0.0186 ac ●A skid steer in the staging area that was parked and not in use today has no drip pan present beneath it (Figure 4). ●All biological resources were monitored and no adverse impacts occurred.
