HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE_ Canyon Loop Trail Project (2)Hi Danny,
The gentlemen, Ryan Winkleman, is the City’s consultant who is also a biologist and will continue to work with the City. He serves as the third-party biological monitor for the project.
He will coordinate directly with your biologist to ensure compliance with the MMRP. Mr. Winkleman will be there tomorrow so we can discuss at our 1pm meeting.
Thank you,
Ryan

Hello Ryan,
I thought it’s the person who was at the bid walk. We needed to coordinate with him.
Can we discuss tomorrow during the meeting.
Is it still 1:00 pm ?

Hi Danny,
I was reviewing the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Checklist (specifically BIO-4/page 6) and curious if you have secured a project biologist? If so, can you provide that person’s
contact information and let me know when they plan to conduct the clearance survey?
Thank You,
Ryan

Hi Danny,
Hope you had a good weekend. Just checking in to see how everything is going? Pending City Council approval tomorrow, the City will be ready to issue a Notice to Proceed (preferably
Wednesday when we meet at City Hall) as soon as we wrap up insurance, permits, business license, and submittals, etc.
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Danny,
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to provide an update regarding the Canyon Loop Trail project . We have received positive feedback thus far and plan to take the contract to City
Council for approval on Tuesday, October 4. You can attend that meeting virtually if you like and I will provide details as we approach that date. In addition, I would like to work
on a pre-con meeting Wednesday, October 5 at City Hall. As you know, the goal is to mobilize the week of October 10 based on the project’s sensitive time frame.
In the meantime, I would ask you review and sign the attached agreement which will be part of the staff report on October 4. You can sign and email back if you prefer hopefully early
next week. I would also suggest you start working on your insurances, business license, and submittals to avoid any delays after we receive the green light from City Council. I will
provide more details as we go, but hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank You,

rior to today. There was some minor grading today that I don’t have the numbers for yet. Again, these are the areas that have been widened along the trail and that are currently being
questioned in the correspondence you received from Robb et al. They were what was factored in as permanent impacts in the numbers we previously provided to you and they’ll be mitigated
for on-site.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and please confirm that you’ll handle the ITP response on your end. Thank you!

Hi Ryan,
I wanted to give you a heads up that we've gotten a complaint from a concerned citizen about the impacts associated with the Canyon Loop Project. We just wanted to check in and make
sure everything is being implemented as laid out in the MND. The specific concerns appear to be regarding the erosion control BMPs and width of the trail. If you could confirm that
the project is being built as planned and that all BMPs are appropriately placed, we would greatly appreciate it and we will be happy to prepare a response regarding the ITP question.

Hi Omar,
I followed up last night with an email to the Kizh Nation based on your request below and have yet to receive any response. I tend to believe they do not share the same urgency as
the City, not to mention the City Manager is off Friday and grading should begin Monday. Realizing he Kizh will provide the City with insurance and our options are extremely limited
per the mitigation, do you have any serious concerns or recommendations that would prohibit us from moving forward with their agreement?
Thanks Again,
Ryan
