Subject: Restricted Use Areas, Tracts 29053 and 34160, Diamond
Bar, California.
Gentlemen:
Portions of Lots 1-9 and 12, Tract 29053 and Lots 5-17,"Tract
34160 maybe considered restricted use areas under Section 158
of the Los Angeles County Subdivision ordinance. Reasons for
having portions of these lots designated as restricted use areas
are -as follows:
1. The areas west or downslope from the shear keys on these
lots were planned as areas to be left natural on the Grading
Plan. Therefore, the geologic conditions in these areas
were.not considered for specific structures or grading.
2. Grading or building on or below these areas could affect
stability of natural slopes or shear keys.

3. Should -additional grading or' structures.be planned for these
areas, detailed investigations and or analyses may be required.
These investigations should include but not be limited to
maintaining the stability of the remedial grading measures
as indicated on the grading for Tracts 29053 and 34160.
