Dear Representative Kim:
As Mayor for the City of Diamond Bar, I would greatly appreciate your consideration to
support the City’s Congressionally Directed Spending Request for the Heritage Park
Renovation Project.
The City of Diamond Bar has a tremendous unmet need for fully accessible parks. As an
example, the Heritage Park Renovation Project would make needed ADA Accessibility
improvements and provide new programming and recreational opportunities to one of
the oldest facilities in the City. The park project is adjacent to highly congested freeways,
and would provide residents with expanded opportunities to exercise and mitigate the
impacts of traffic and the associated environmental concerns.
The City has been working with Federal and State partners to secure appropriations for
this vital project, and if funding is secured, this will provide for a Federal and State
leverage opportunity and create local employment. Any consideration and support of
the City’s Congressionally Directed Spending Request is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions about the project, please contact City Manager Dan Fox at
909.839.7010 or by email to dfox@diamondbarca.gov.
Very truly yours,
Ruth Low, Mayor
