I had to have a beekeeper remove the hives (6 in total) for the work to continue. When the workers returned, I was informed that the approved plans call for the joist to run from the exterior faux balconies 4' into units. This will require additional asbestos abatement of unit A-5, A-6 and A-7. We are currently awaiting approval from our insurance carrier to move forward with the abatement; however, to expedite matters, I have already notified and provided all required information to the abatement contractor so they can begin requesting approval from AQMD.
