HomeMy WebLinkAboutTemporary Evacuations of Condominium Complex Q&A.msgHi everyone, As you may have heard the City is issuing an Order to Vacate to the Village at Diamond Bar Condominium Complex on Golden Springs Drive. In the next couple of hours, Building
Division staff will be posting yellow and red tags on all 150 units within the condo property. The tags will advise residents that they have until October 18 to vacate their units so
that the HOA and its engineers can conduct an assessment of a number of issues that are of health and safety concern.
If you received this email it’s because you handle counter inquiries and incoming calls. The attached packet includes a Q&A sheet with an overview, answers to potential questions you
may receive, and a “who to direct calls” section, as well as copies of the Notice and Order to Vacate and yellow and red tags.
This is an evolving process with more questions than answers at the moment. Rest assured that we will continue to keep you informed of every key step in the process. In the next week
or two, we will be learning more and providing additional resources and FAQ to help you when taking calls from the affected tenants.
Some things that are not the fact sheet but may be useful to know:
* The condominium complex is occupied by approximately 70% renters, 30% owners.
* Each unit is individually owned (in some cases an individual owns more than one condominium).
* On Monday, the HOA will be holding a virtual meeting for condo residents.
* Residents will continue to have access to their respective mailboxes.
