Good evening Village at Diamond Bar Owners and Tenants,
We hope this email finds you well,
The City of Diamond Bar received two appeals to their Notice and Order to Vacate (see attached) and has just notified us that they will issue a notice of a stay of the order, pending
the appeal, and will push out the appeal 60 days to allow for the testing.
The City's attorney is working with the HOA's attorney to coordinate availability dates to do their own testing.
The HOA is moving forward with it's testing to determine which, if any of the building are eligible to receive a safety rating that will allow occupants to remain in their units. This
will begin early next week.
Management has confirmed with the HOA's regular roofing contractor that internal roofing beams have shown no sign of termite damage or dry rot during recent roofing repairs. This is
very good news because roofing repairs were due to leaks and the moisture would attract termites, yet no evidence of termites has been observed.
An Owner Zoom Meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 11th at 7pm.
The information in Monday's meeting will pertain only to unit owners and the zoom link will be provided in a separate email.
