Letter of Appeal for the Notice and Order for Evacuation
October 6, 2021
From: Tracy Choi -Wong
23617 Golden Spring Drive Unit: 24k
Diamond Bar, CA., 91765
To: Mr Raymond Tao
The Building and Safety Division in City of Diamond Bar
21810 Copley Drive
Diamond Bar, CA., 91765
Greetings, I am the current homeowner of 23617 Golden Spring Drive, unit: 24k, Diamond Bar,
CA., 91765. 1 am writing to you in regard to the Notice and Order to evacuate by October 18,
2021 as authorized by you and your division.
We are greatly saddened by the unexpected news, this unit I purchased with my life -time
saving with intention to secure a place for myself and my partner/significant other, Mr Martin
Wong whom is 73 years old with limited mobility, we truly feel that our lives are being shattered
instantaneously upon receiving the Notice and Order for Evacuation
At this time of my life, I have no physical nor financial capability to relocate, I have no families
nor friends able to make accommodations for me and my partner, my partner Mr Martin Wong
has significant health risk, merely realizing the news and understanding the ramifications have
adversely affected his existing high blood pressure for the past week and his anxiety level has
increased tremendously and I truly worry for his health status might be at the tipping point due
to the awful news and with great uncertainty ahead.
We the homeowners are not being defiant as suggested by Ms Yvette Allen in the Zoom
meeting on October 4, 2021, please put us in your shoes, basically we will be going homeless
following the order. Therefore I am appealing the Notice and Order as my partner Mr Martin
Wong a 73 years old elderly with significant health issues and limited physical mobility, I am in
financial hardship and emotional health risk as well, therefore I am requesting you and your
department to allow us to stay as we really have no place to go. I sincerely hope that all
homeowners will be able to come to a resolution in a timely manner in the coming days.
We are living in perilous time of the world pandemic, the US governmental agencies have
implemented humanitarian efforts to provide reliefs and helping hands to citizens of the land as
the Federal elected government officials understand that having a shelter is essential for
survival. It can be the critical difference between life continuation or life cessation matter for us.
We plead with you to accept my letter of appeal for the Notice and Order. This is potentially
and highly likely to cause great unrepairable damages and negative impact on our health and
our livelihood in an enormous way, your understanding and consideration in this matter will be
greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tracy Choi -Wong
