Thank you for your email, please use the attached appeal form to submit your appeal to my office. Please return to me
by email or hard copy no later than October 10, 2021. Please note this deadline falls on a Sunday so if you plan on
returning a hard copy you will have to submit on Friday since City Hall is closed on weekends.

Subject: Board of Appeals of the Building Safety Official of the City of Diamond Bar
I, homeowner and current resident of 23665 Golden Springs Dr Unit E5, Diamond Bar, CA is appealing to the
“Notice and Order evacuate no later than October 18, 2021” that I choose not to evacuate by that date and
will continue to occupy my residential unit indefinitely due to the reasons, but not limited to stated on this
letter.
The 2-week notice date from the city order is I believe not justified at this time. I may only consider evacuating
for a reasonable short amount of time until after applicable California Building Codes Standard Tests (not based
on visual inspections alone) have been completed and documented test results are reviewed by a CA Licensed
Structural Engineer with verified work history record have determine an imminent danger to myself under
normal living conditions.
I will exercise my right to have my own independent tests to be done by a qualified testing company if I choose
to. If I believe that I am being forced to evacuate my residence against my will, I shall request from the City of
Diamond Bar a court order stating such.
I also appeal to the City Building Official to look into the Structural Engineer Records regarding documents
shared to the public posted on Department of Consumer Affairs. Public documents state that the Engineer’s
License was on probation for a period of time.
