On Friday Jan 22 I dropped off plans and calcs for a 3 ft high retaining wall on one side of the new driveway as required by the City (Mr. Gubman). Although your office was closed,
someone came to the door and I asked him to place the plans on your desk.
Your review and approval is required as the last step in completing the plan check process and only involves the engineering for the retaining wall as you have already approved the design
for the new garage opening. Please let me know you received the plans.
On the note I left with the drawings we requested an expedited review. Please call the contractor Mike Verdugo at 626 808-6068 or me at 626 824-6796 if you have any questions.

Per our conversation earlier today, please contact Elie Nasr of RKA Consulting Group at (909) 594-9702 to schedule a Building & Safety review directly with him for the proposed retaining
walls at driveway, the conversion of the basement into a garage and the relocation of the garage door opening. Please submit three (3) sets of complete plans and two (2) sets of calculations
when you meet with Elie. Once Elie approves those plans, please submit them to me to also capture Greg Gubman’s signature. I will be following up with Kimberly Young in the Engineering
Department next week regarding compliance with their correction(s). If approved by Engineering, I will also need to capture Kimberly’s signature on the plans. Please keep in mind
that we may not be able to issue the permit right away since not all reviewing staff may be available at the same time to stamp and sign the plans for permit issuance. This may take
a few working days. Once ready for permit issuance, the contractor will be required to furnish a contractor’s pocket license, worker’s compensation insurance certificate and cash or
check only for payment. Let me know if you have any questions.
