HomeMy WebLinkAboutSantos email re Waste Management Collection Changes1 Anthony Santos From:Anthony Santos Sent:Thursday, December 24, 2020 10:48 AM To:Dan Fox Cc:Ryan McLean; David Liu; Alfa Lopez; Dannette Allen; Marsha Roa; Cecilia Arellano Subject:Waste Management Collection Changes Importance:High Dan,    Teri Muse with Waste Management called me with an urgent message.  Due to COVID‐19 infections amongst  their staff, Waste Management will need to implement modified collections starting next week December 28  through the foreseeable future.    Teri will be providing an email shortly with updated information but the gist is as follows:  ‐Week of December 28, 2020 through January 2, 2021 ‐ Trash, recyclables, bulky items and Christmas trees will  be collected. No green waste collected this week.  ‐Week of January 4‐8, 2021 ‐ Trash, green waste, and bulky items will be collected.  No recyclable collection  this week.   ‐The following weeks will continue with trash and bulky items, with rotating collection of recyclables one week  followed by green waste the next.    Once the official email from Waste Management is shared I will forward. However, due to timing and the  holiday this week I wanted to provide you with advance notice.    It will be necessary for us to decide if/how/when to communicate the updated information to our residents  and Council.   I would suggest we wait for the official WM email.      Let me know if you have any questions.    Anthony                Anthony Santos | Assistant to the City Manager City of Diamond Bar | City Manager’s Office 21810 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765 t 909.839.7013 | 909.839.7000 main | f 909.861.3117 asantos@diamondbarca.gov | www.DiamondBarCA.gov  Important Notice: Until the end of December, all City facilities, including City Hall, the Diamond Bar Center and Heritage Park will be closed to the public.In the meantime, staff is available to provide services and answer questions by phone and email.
